Serving Philadelphia Families Planning for — and Living In — Retirement
"We help clients make confident financial decisions by integrating retirement planning, investment management, and proactive tax planning into one coordinated strategy."
Oasis Wealth Planning Advisors proudly serves Philadelphia and nearby South Jersey communities with independent, fee-only fiduciary financial planning for near-retirees, retirees, and widows. Our work is built around one central goal: helping you achieve the financial clarity and confidence to live the retirement you've envisioned.
Clients typically hold between $1 million and $10 million in investable assets and are looking for comprehensive, tax-integrated guidance from advisors legally required to act in their best interest — and who never earn a commission of any kind. Clients may choose virtual meetings or in-person appointments at a professional meeting location in Center City Philadelphia.
Philadelphia-area clients come to us asking:
- Am I on track for the retirement I want — and what does that actually look like?
- How do I create a reliable retirement income stream I won't outlive?
- How does Pennsylvania's retirement income tax treatment affect my withdrawal strategy?
- Should I convert my IRA to a Roth, and when does that make sense?
- How do I minimize taxes on my portfolio and Social Security in retirement?
- When should I claim Social Security, and how does it interact with my pension?
- We have ties to both PA and NJ — how do we handle the cross-border planning?
- How do I leave a meaningful legacy without unnecessary tax consequences?
Finding a truly independent, fee-only fiduciary financial advisor in Philadelphia or South Jersey is not easy. Oasis is proud to bring a genuinely fiduciary, tax-integrated approach to Philadelphia-area families — a welcome alternative to commission-driven advisors at banks and major brokerage firms.

Planning That Reflects Where You Actually Live
Serving clients across Pennsylvania and South Jersey requires a deep understanding of regional planning considerations that go well beyond generic financial advice — from state tax rules to cross-border residency issues that can trip up even well-prepared families.
Pennsylvania Retirement Tax Advantages
Pennsylvania offers notably favorable retirement income tax treatment — Social Security, pension income, and most IRA and 401(k) distributions are generally exempt from PA state income tax. We help PA clients build retirement income strategies that take full advantage of these benefits, while navigating the state's inheritance tax rules in estate planning.
Philadelphia Wage Tax Considerations
Philadelphia residents and non-residents who work in the city face a local wage tax that can meaningfully impact net income during the pre-retirement working years. We incorporate the Philadelphia Wage Tax into cash-flow projections and transition-to-retirement planning for clients still earning employment income.
New Jersey & Cross-Border Planning
New Jersey taxes most retirement income, though income exclusions are available for qualifying retirees. For families with ties to both PA and NJ, we coordinate cross-border planning — residency, withholding, and retirement income sourcing — so nothing falls through the cracks between two states with very different rules.
An Integrated Approach to Your Financial Life
We coordinate all aspects of your financial picture — retirement, taxes, and investments are never treated as separate silos.
Retirement Income & Cash-Flow Planning
Detailed income projections and spending analysis to help ensure your assets last throughout retirement, stress-tested against real-world scenarios.
Social Security & Pension Decisions
When and how you claim Social Security or pension benefits can mean tens of thousands of dollars over your lifetime. We analyze your options thoroughly before you make this irreversible decision.
Evidence-Based Investment Management
Disciplined, research-backed portfolio construction — cost-efficient, diversified, and aligned with your risk tolerance and timeline.
Proactive Tax Planning
Year-round tax planning — not just tax prep. Roth conversions, tax-loss harvesting, and strategic withdrawals coordinated with your retirement income strategy.
Estate & Insurance Planning Coordination
We review beneficiary designations, insurance coverage, and estate planning documents to ensure your plan is cohesive and your wishes are protected.
Ongoing Guidance & Plan Reviews
Regular reviews and proactive check-ins so your plan stays current as life, markets, and tax laws evolve — keeping you on track year after year.
